Summer News!
Office hours will be 8:30 to 4:00 pm every day again, beginning August 23rd.
Our front yard planter was visited by the Flower Spirits after school ended! We would like to recognize the kind donation of flowers from Nadine Stielow of Thiel's Greenhouse! The greenhouse supplied the plants and the work to plant them was done by Mrs. Anne Malott and Mr. John Hee. This included going to the greenhouse to get the plants, bringing them to the school yard, and getting up into the big planter to clean it out of weeds and debrie before being able to plant the new flowers! The rains have helped tremendously! These parents are to be commended for thinking about the project and following through! As I visit the school and drive up to the front, it is a special treat to see the colours and the plants mature! Mille fois merci!
We are pleased to announce a new teacher on our staff! Please welcome Mr. Joey Bouchard as he takes up a diverse teaching assignment for us on a full time basis. He will instruct in our French Immersion Programme at the grade 4 level in Math, Social Studies, and French Language Arts, and at the junior high level our Physical Education courses (grade 7, 8, 9 FI) as well as the Social Studies 7FI. He will also be teaching Physical Education to our English Gr 7 class this year.
June is a Time of Changes
After three years at École Rudolph Hennig School, Ms Julie Curley, our school counsellor, will be moving to Bev Facey High School in Sherwood Park in the fall. Although we are sad to see Ms Curley go, we are pleased for her to have this new opportunity.
Please join us in wishing her well on her new adventure.
Joining us to take over from Ms Curley is Ms Pattie Fedor! She will be coming to our school 21/2 days per week as we share her with Uncas School for the year!
As well, Mlle Pharisa has bid us goodbye as she returns to her home in Switzerland after some stopovers to have a holiday! We hope she has a great summer ! We extend our thanks for a great year with her and her selfless sharing of time and expertise with so many of the students and staff.
Mlle Cullum returns to take up her post! We expect to hear a lot of stories and to make some innovations as a result of her new experiences! Welcome back Mlle!
Kindergarten Registration
SPACE IS LIMITED FOR KINDERGARTEN (ECS) REGISTRATION!
Registration packages are available from the school office, and our Kindergarten registration is ongoing. Space is available in our morning and afternoon classes, but is quite limited at this point. If you are interested in enrolling your child in our French Immersion Kindergarten please do so soon to avoid disappointment.
Give your child a beautiful gift....an opportunity to learn another language!
Parent Volunteer Award
Congratulations to Mrs. Joan Orchard on receiving the Public Education Volunteer of the Year Award! She graciously accepted it at the end of our Spring Concert! Mrs. Orchard has been coming to the school faithfully over the years, even though her own children have long since gone on to higher education. We have many alumni who can play handbells because of her. She continues to support us and we appreciate her every effort in helping the music ring through our halls!
Next SAC Meeting!
Our next School Council meeting is planned for September 8th, the same day as the Corn Roast!
It will start at 7:00 pm. All parents are invited and encouraged to attend. We hope to see you there!
Check what we had on the agenda for the last meeting of the year in June!

This is a well deserved award! Mrs. Heatherington is one of many of parents who help ERHS! We felt we should tell others about how great our school and she is one of the reasons why! Mrs. Heatherington was nominated by ERHS because she is a tireless advocate for our French Immersion programme! She has engaged our students and staff in wellness activities during and after school using Yoga! This mom comes in on a moment's notice to help out and organize for all kinds of school activities, be they here or on a field trip. She never hesitates to give praise and support to our students and teachers too! Our successes are so much better because of the help parents give to activities. Thank you Kim!
